Valentin LAMOTHE
Founder & Developer
Founder of Nova-Life and creator of Citiizen, passionate about roleplay and building immersive experiences where players can write their own story.
Abyssal Interactive is an independent French studio. Six people, five games, and one obsession: persistent worlds where every player leaves a mark. From Nova-Life to Citiizen, we design, code and run our worlds entirely in-house.
Three principles we never compromise on, whatever the project.
We don't make games we launch then forget. Nova-Life has been running since 2021, Stereopoly keeps evolving. Persistence isn't a feature, it's our method.
Our players aren't an audience, they're co-authors. Every major decision goes through Discord first, before it ever reaches the game.
Code, 3D art, game design, production: it all happens under the same roof. A small team, short loops, zero middlemen between idea and screen.
The minds behind the worlds. Developers, producers and 3D artists, all under the same roof.

From idea to beta, three movements that repeat on every game.
Everything starts from a gameplay loop, never an isolated feature. We prototype fast, throw a lot away, and keep what holds up for an hour of play.
3D art, systems and netcode move forward together. A city doesn't ship until the economy that drives it is standing.
The beta isn't a showcase, it's a lab. Thousands of players break what we build — and that's exactly what we want.
We're looking for people who love persistent worlds as much as we do — dev, 3D, game design. No standard CV: show us what you've built.
