🛠️ Citiizen – Devlog #2
Team structuring & first concrete progressThis second devlog marks an important milestone in Citiizen’s development, both on a human and technical level.
👥 Team Evolution
We couldn’t start this devlog without mentioning the arrival of a new member to the team.
Adrien, also known as Islide, officially joins the project and takes on a key role within the team.
He steps into a major responsibility that I previously handled alongside our vehicle modeler, Arthurian.
Islide now leads the entire 3D aspect of the project, becoming Citiizen’s Art Director.
He will be responsible for shaping a strong and coherent visual identity for the game world.
Note: the vehicle department remains in the hands of Arthurian, who continues his excellent work in that area.
🏗️ First 3D Work
Since joining, Islide has already started working actively on the map.
Several elements have already been created:
- buildings,
- environmental props,
- the first structured areas of the map.
The National Gendarmerie of the Republic of Atlas has now been brought to life.
It is not fully completed yet, but it is approaching its final stage.
At the same time, the port area is beginning to take shape, laying the foundation for what will become a key roleplay location.
⚙️ Technical Progress
On my side, the technical foundations of the project are now almost complete.
Several core systems have been developed:
- the vehicle system,
- the terrain system,
- the company system,
- the in-game PC system.
These systems form the backbone of Citiizen and are essential to deliver a solid, consistent, and scalable roleplay experience.
📖 Lore & World Depth
Work on the lore is continuing alongside technical development.
The goal remains the same: to create a believable universe with history, tensions, and a strong identity, giving meaning to every interaction in-game.
🎯 Donation Goals
The community continues to actively support the project, and several donation goals have already been reached:
- an articulated bus,
- the tramway,
- a Rafale fighter jet,
- a semi-truck,
- a casino,
- and soon… firefighters 🚒
Each unlocked goal represents a significant amount of work for the team.
To keep delivering high-quality content while ensuring the project’s sustainability, a slight increase in future donation goal requirements is to be expected.
Our objective remains unchanged: to build a rich, living game together with you.
🚀 Team Note
Citiizen is steadily taking shape, step by step.
Future devlogs will focus more on specific systems, with deeper and more concrete presentations.
Thank you all for your support. The journey continues — and it’s only getting more exciting.
